The Megaleh Amukos, Rav Nosson Nuta Shapiro, 1585-1633, was a leading Polish Posek and Kabbalist, Chief Rabbi of Krakow.  He was a key figure, prior to the rise of the Ba'al Shem Tov, who brought the light and beauty of kabalistic ideas, particularly from the Arizal, to mainstream Judaism.  He revealed great depths of the Torah, which continue to inspire us and can provide us with insight, guidance and meaning in our lives.  My father-in-law, Pinchas Eliyahu Shteingardt (Shapiro) is directly descended on an unbroken male line from this great sage.  I hope to share an inkling into some of his depths through the Divrei Torah on this website.
